Vocational Emission
I have just read an article on ZDNet UK about an concept PC presented by Intel. The model was a shameless rip-off of the Mac Mini. I don't know if it's just me, if it's the constant drilling by the University or if this is something everyone feels but I can't stand it when people plagiarize. This relates to an article that I read in Computer Arts about how lower-bidding, unimaginative hacks have stolen business from legitimate designers by duplicating websites that already existed.
Our new project has us divided into groups to research a South African musician/band in preparation for a type-based poster. My group is doing Max Normal and short of the Constructus section on the African Dope website, there isn't much in the way of online content to tap into. I have tried to register at A.D. but there is an error and I cannot complete the registration. I'll have to hassle Tom for whatever I can get.
It seems that I'm only talking shop today so: Kerryn has a friend who is involved with some sort of billboard advertising firm that has only recently been set up. She told me that she could get me involved in some way but the details aren't too clear at the moment.

Ugh! That is a Damn ugly lookin beast! Really, though, I can't even be bothered to complain – Apple's designs have led the field for so long, and the nearly-rans have copied her designs for so long that it no longer surprises me when crappy bits of kit like this make their way into the news.
