Coastal Chronicles Pt I: Of Creative Destruction

Where to start? I have a fortnight's worth of experiences to document.

Okay, holiday time. Hermanus was great - owing alot to the company kept. The place was beautiful despite the stink we constantly ran into at the beach.

Carl submitted me to new definitions on the degrees of drunkenness. This made me pretty disappointed because I thought that I was quite a heavyweight when it came to rowdiness. It seems, however, that I am still using my training liver and need to practice with my hardtacks. I was relieved to know that the rating system for hangovers is not proportionate to the previous night’s drunkenness score – I’ve at least had a few 8’s and 9’s in this regard.

Due to these conversations and personal past experiences, I’m trying to steeling myself against any future drinking without proper protection (Essentiale or Cruciale), something I did on New Years Eve.

It has also dawned that I might be impervious to the sun since I might actually be whiter than I was when I left for the coast. Christmas this year was top-shelf and I felt very spoilt – if not a little guilty for not returning the sentiments as completely as I would have liked.
