This is the only image my lecturer chose from the first spool of film I shot for the new project. I agree with her about the rest needing work.

I had to leave my negatives at Varsity over the weekend so I didn't have the chance to see how my second spool came out.

Yummy. Looks like something from Articles and Frames in Brooklyn. I especially like the slick reflections on the tarmac...is this really Pretoria? It looks almost like news footage from Haiti. Or at least someplace war-torn and tropical. This just supports my conviction that film will never go extinct. Just like vinyl, it's the little unexpected things, the little idiosyncrasies that make it, somehow... better.

Hm. Matt, I have visted your blog every day in the past two weeks, and only today have I seen this post and the afro lady post. I really ought to hit that refresh button more often...
